Srenaski, Leonard "Leo"

Leonard "Leo" Srenaski, 99, Green Bay resident, died early Saturday morning November 16, 2013, at a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1914 in Green Bay to the late Walter and Frances (Queoff) Srenaski. Leo served his country in the US Army during WWII, from 1940 until his honorable discharge in 1945. Upon returning home he married the former June Machowski on October 6, 1945 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Milwaukee. June preceded Leo in death on December 14, 2007 after 62 years of marriage. Leo was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service until his retirement.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Jeri Srenaski, Eloy, AZ; three grandchildren: Anne (Steve) Petersen; Samuel (Tracey) Srenaski and Katharine Srenaski; four great grandchildren: Alexandra, Sidney, Noah and Dylan; one brother, Walter (Cy) Srenaski, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters: Clarence, Priscilla, Harry, Ethel, Frank and Ed.

Friends may call at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., after 10:00 am Tuesday until time of mass. Funeral mass 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM, officiating. Entombment in the Wall of Honor at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. On-line condolences may be sent to the Srenaski family at www.prokowall.com.
