Hinkhouse, Joyce C.

Joyce C. Hinkhouse, 87, Green Bay passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home. Joyce was born on January 30, 1926 in Green Bay the daughter of the now late Frank and Elizabeth (Meintz), fourth of five children but was the last survivor of her family. On October 9, 1954 she married Ronald J. Hinkhouse at Grace Lutheran Church and they were blessed with three children , Paul (Beckie) Hinkhouse of Virgina, Mary (Rev. David) Hintz, Green Bay and Lisa Herman of Green Bay. Joyce and Ron enjoyed over 53 years together, Ron preceded her in death on April 17, 2008.

Joyce was a stay at home mom but worked occasionally with area jewelers. Joyce and Ron were very active in the V.F.W. and had met many friends.

Joyce is blessed with two granddaughters Sarah Hinkhouse and Grace Herman and four grandsons Jeremy (Melissa) Hinkhouse, Aaron (Andrea) Hintz, Noah (Ashley) Hintz, Seth Hintz, eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son-in-law Dale Herman, three sisters and one brother-in-law Bernice Paal, Delores Maaco, Ruth (Robert) Schumacher, one brother and sister-in-law Milton (Betty) Paal.

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church~ ELCA 321 S. Madison Street. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations can be made to the ~or~ The . The family wishes to extend a warm and grateful thanks to the staffs at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home and Unity Hospice for all of their loving care and compassion.
