Kropp, Elaine L.
Elaine L. Kropp, 79, Green Bay, died Tuesday evening, January 14, 2014. She was born on December 16, 1934 in New Franken to the late Walter and Florence (Vanden Plas) Nooyen. On September 3, 1955 she married Gerald Kropp at St. Mary's Church in Humboldt, he preceded her in death on November 9, 1999. Elaine was a stay at home Mom until the early 1970's, she then began employment as a nurse's aide at Parkview Manor. She enjoyed cooking, canning and gardening. Elaine was a past member of Holy Martyrs Church. She loved hosting family events and adored spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Clive) Gasparka, Kewaunee; Tina (Glen) Viste, Sturgeon Bay; John Kropp, Green Bay; Dale (Patti) Kropp, Green Bay; eight grandchildren, Neil (special friend, Elisabeth), Erin and Kelli Gasparka; Ashley and Kayla Viste; Jenna, Jordan and Alex Kropp; great granddaughter, Destiny Viste; sisters, Barbara Buhr and Madeline Tauscher; brothers, Norbert (Jackie) Nooyen and Bernard (Shirley) Nooyen; sisters-in-law, Janice Kropp and Sharon (Mike) Pyatt; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Nicholas Buhr; Gerald Tauscher and Lawrence Kropp.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Dean Dombroski officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
Elaine's family would like to express a special thank you to the Wyndemere Estates, Unity Hospice and Dr. Raymond Bachhuber for all of their special care they gave.
