Dolores Majewski, 88, Krakow, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 9, 2014, surrounded by her family. The daughter of Ernest and Mary (Wiza) Strzelecki was born March 30, 1925, in Two Rivers. The family moved to the Pulaski area when she was a teenager.
On June 20, 1942, she married Elmer Majewski in Pulaski. The couple raised their family and farmed on the Majewski homestead in Krakow. In 1973 they retired from dairy farming and began a new venture as owners of a small furniture store, Elmer's Furniture Farm. After retirement, they enjoyed several trips in their motorhome with their son, Bob, and his family.
Dolores was always kind to others and left a deep impression on her children to do the same. People were always invited into her home and treated with love, especially nieces and nephews and all the grandchildren.
She spent many hours crocheting as her pastime, while Elmer read his books. She also made many quilts, which were given to the grandchildren as wedding gifts. Dolores loved to garden and had the amazing gift of making all her plants flourish. Of course, she was an amazing cook and loved to have her small kitchen filled with family and friends.
