Alyssa Joski Obituary
Alyssa Rae (Kaminski) Joski, 31, Denmark, took the hand of an angel following the joyous birth of her long awaited beautiful baby boy, Jace Robert, on July 11, 2014. She was born November 26, 1982, to Robert "Bob" and Denise (Melotte) Kaminski. Alyssa graduated from Denmark High School with the Class of 2001 and from UW-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Psychology. She has been employed at Humana since her graduation, and made many wonderful friends there.
In June of 2006, Alyssa met the love of her life, Mark Joski, on the docks of the Holiday Inn while attending Bayfest. The couple was married October 13, 2012. She was the #1 fan and most avid supporter of the #68 race car and will be missed by the entire IMCA community at the local tracks.
In September 2013, Alyssa and Mark purchased a house in the Denmark area. Their new home was their pride and joy. Alyssa and her mom spent the last nine months painting and decorating her beautiful home. She particularly enjoyed preparing the nursery as she eagerly awaited the new baby's arrival.
Alyssa shared her bubbly personality, her mischievous wit, her beautiful smile and the cutest giggle with everyone she met. She enjoyed family gatherings, boating, playing volleyball, and attending her cousins' sporting events. She was very organized and her ducks were always in a row. Alyssa is deeply loved and will always be remembered.
Alyssa is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Joski; her newborn son, Jace Robert Joski; the family dog, Ernest Fergler; her mother and best friend, Denise (Lee Kornaus) Melotte; one brother, Chad (Stacie) Kaminski; her niece and godchild, Payton; nieces, Rylan and Lakyn; her "sisters", Kelsey and Tiffany (Carlos) Kornaus; paternal grandparents, Dick and Dee Kaminski, maternal grandmother, Judy Melotte; her father-in-law, Dennis (Karen Pfluger); and mother-in-law, Lori Strombach; a brother-in-law, Mike (Stephanie) Joski; nieces Kielan and Mikaela Joski; Mark's grandparents, Robert and Sandy Joski, Richard and Donna Strombach; a goddaughter, McKenna Larsen; uncles and aunts, Jeff Melotte who is also Ayssa's godfather, Mark Melotte, Dawn (Todd) Larsen, Joy (Jeff) Bielinski, Barb (Keith Rhodes) Reedy who is also Alyssa's godmother, Cindy (Jeff) Olsen, Tom (Tina) Kaminski; uncles and aunts on the Joski side, Bob and Rita Joski, Mary and Dan Ducat, Joe Joski, Anne and Ken Servais, Chris and Lisa Joski, Nick and Tammy Joski, Sandy and Adam Mikkelson; and many special cousins and good friends.
She was welcomed into heaven by her father, Bob Kaminski; a niece, Braelyn Rae Kaminski; her maternal grandfather, Roger Melotte; and a cousin, Landon Bielinski.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Friends may also call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to benefit Alyssa and Mark's blessing, Jace Robert.
Words can't express the way I feel today. I loved my wife Alyssa Rae Joski to the end of the world and back. It is just amazing how all our family and friends are here to support me at this time. I've never met Alyssa but I just wanted to let Mark and their blessed little baby Jace that they are our in my thoughts and prayers. My heart breaks for the family. It was one week ago that we were facing the reality of our loss. The funeral service was a beautiful tribute to a special young woman. The outpouring of support by friends and community was amazing. However, seeing this family rally together during the most difficult of days made an impression on me that I'll never forget. Alyssa was blessed with a loving family. Jace Robert Joski is now their blessing.

I started working at Humana the same day Alyssa did and was on the same work team for 6 years with her. I have countless memories of her. Her personality was always shining so bright. I felt like I knew Mark, Alyssa's mother, her brother and nieces (etc) from all of the stories she told. She took great pride in all of you and loved you all so much. We've got y'all in our prayers.

My thoughts and prayers to Alyssa's family. I remember the first time I met Alyssa. I was her brother, Chad's, first grade teacher and he missed the Valentine party so I brought his valentines to his house. Alyssa, who was a preschooler at the time, answered the door all bubbly and full of excitement. A few years later I had Alyssa as a student. What a celebration of her short life tonight....she touched so many hearts!! Even as a kid she had her ducks in a row!! As she grew she went through things & always handled them with a positive attitude& faith!!! I'm so glad she was a part of our lives!!! All the maple court kids!! And she always took our boys under her wings& loved them.....just like she loved life & lived it to the fullest!! But taken way to soon!!! Her smile & her presence was such a beautiful gift!! I was so shocked to hear the news of Alyssa's passing from my dad. Although I never met Alyssa or Mark, I grew up next door to the Melottes and know the Kaminski family. I am so sad for all the family members and hope the comfort of friends & family help you through this very difficult time.
