Kreuser, Robert A.

Robert A. Kreuser, 78, Suamico, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 13, 2014. He was born July 26, 1936, to Robert J. and Madeline (Anheuser) Kreuser.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958 aboard the U.S.S. Grapple AR7. From 1958 to 1960 he worked various jobs until he was hired in January, 1961, by the City of Green Bay as a beat officer. While working as an officer, he acquired an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and Police Science. Bob worked his way up the ranks retiring as a Deputy Chief in 1992.

On Friday, March 13, 1992, he married Bonnie Zittlow - a day that brought much happiness to him for the rest of his life. Bob and Bonnie traveled all over the United States and Canada and took a number of cruises. They enjoyed life, their home, and each other.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed duck hunting, a passion he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He was a very handy man and was always willing to share his many talents with whoever needed a helping hand. Bob valued spending time with his lifelong buddies that were like brothers to him, golfing, socializing and solving many of the world's problems over coffee. He was a devoted, loving father and grandfather who gave the biggest and best hugs ever. Bob was a huge fan of his grandchildren's activities.

Bob is survived by his wife, Bonnie Kreuser; four children, Sandy (Joe) Paremski, Vicky (Keith) Destree, John (Julia) Kreuser, Tom (Michelle) Kreuser; stepchildren, David (Teri Jo) Del Marcelle, Bill (Sonja) Del Marcelle; 16 shared grandchildren, Seth (Cassie) Paremski, Jesse Lee Paremski, Mallorie Destree, Desirae Destree, Joslyn Destree, Hunter Destree, Tana Koss, Bobbi Koss, Tanner Kreuser, Ryan Kreuser, Kyle Del Marcelle, Mariah Del Marcelle, Brandon Gardner, Jake Del Marcelle, Sara Del Marcelle, Kayla Del Marcelle; sister, Sharon (Bob) Badeau; sister-in-law, Gloria Kreuser; many nieces and nephews, the mother of his children, Mary Kreuser, and his special friend, Gus.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert J. and Madeline Kreuser; and a brother, Lawrence.

Friends may call at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield West, Suamico, from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the church with Rev. Gerald Prusakowski, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
