Marjorie June Eklund, 91, well known Peshtigo resident, passed away peacefully July 21, 2016. Born August 28, 1924, in Suamico, daughter of the late Barney and Elizabeth (Van Beaver) Devroy, she married her best friend, Rodger D. Eklund on September 28, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peshtigo. A 1942 graduate of Peshtigo High School, she worked in the office of Badger Paper Mill before marriage and owned and operated Marjorie's Dress Shop in Marinette from 1970 to 1980. Marjorie enjoyed wintering in Fort Meyers, Florida for many years with family and friends.

She is survived by 3 daughters - Judith (Richard) Michalski, Mary Kay (Tim) Duket and Susan (Keith) Felmer, and a son - Rodger (Shirley) Eklund; 7 grandchildren - Kimberly, Christopher, Erin, Renee, Gregory, Laura and Evan; 6 great-grandchildren - Cole, Lucas, John, Ethan, Olivia and Vikram with 2 more expected this year. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sandy Eklund, a son-in-law, Randy Cohorst, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger on Dec. 23, 2013, a daughter, Lynn Cohorst on Oct. 27, 2010, 4 sisters - Bernice Devroy, Marian Phillips, Ione Rockweiler and Marlys Hart and 3 brothers - Leslie Devroy, Russell Devroy and Harold Devroy.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 9:00 am until the time of a funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father John Harper officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo at a later date. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
