Travelers Rest
Ray Glen Howard, 78, of 1007 Tubbs Mountain Road, died January 17, 2013 at his home.
A native of Greenville County, son of the late Monroe and Lucy Howard, he was a retired employee of S.C.D.O.T. and a member of Highland Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are a son, Danny Ray Howard of Travelers Rest; two daughters, Rebecca H. Shivers of Greenville and Karen Lynn Howard of Landrum; three sisters, Hazel Bryant of Greer, Shirley Swann of Travelers Rest, and Betty June Anderson of Marietta; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Howard was predeceased by a granddaughter, Chasity Marie Howard, two brothers, and two sisters.
A special thanks to Tammy and Michelle Moore.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Highland Church of God of Prophecy, conducted by Rev. Houston Hunt and Rev. David Allen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Howard, Daniel Howard, Adam McCauley, Steven Blackwell, Robbie Howard, and Danny Howard.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
The family is at the home.
