Dorothy Vaughn Dorrity, 93, of Easley, the wife of the late Walter Hunt Dorrity, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont.
Mrs. Dorrity was born in Newberry County, a daughter of the late Jordan Poole Vaughn and Theo Madrin Wertz. She was a homemaker and of the Lutheran Faith.
Surviving are a son, Jordan Lewis Dorrity and wife Patricia of Greenwood, SC; five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs Dorrity was predeceased by a son Walter Hunt Dorrity, Jr. and a grandson James Paul Dorrity.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Reflection prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29644.
