Frances Flynn Prince
Simpsonville
Frances Flynn Prince, 88, widow of Horace Lee Prince, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Amanda Cantrell Flynn.
A graduate of Spartanburg General Hospital Nursing School, Mrs. Prince served during World War II as an Army Cadet Nurse and later retired from the South Carolina State Crippled Children's Department of Greenville County.
She was a member of Augusta Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are four children, Rita P. Ballew (George), H. Lee Prince (Rose), Gordon Prince (Yvette) and William Prince (Cindy); six grandchildren, Eric and Stacie Ballew, Dana Prince, Gordon Jr., Garrett and Grant Prince; two great grandchildren, Hannah Ballew and Ashland Prince; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Augusta Heights Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Augusta Heights Baptist Church, 3018 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
The family will be at their respective homes.
