Robert Eugene Cathcart
Mauldin
Robert Eugene Cathcart 82, husband of Myrtle Joanne Martin Cathcart, of Mauldin, died Friday, May 10, 2013.
Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late James Jesse and Irene Golden Cathcart.
Mr. Cathcart was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church.
Before retiring, he worked as a machinist for John D. Hollingsworth on Wheels.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 62 years, are a daughter, Martha Cathcart Tillotson; four sons, Curtis, Wesley, David and Dennis Cathcart; four grandchildren, Army Specialist Michael Petrovich, Jesse, Ashley and Danielle Cathcart, and two great-grandchildren, Robert and Cheyenne Cathcart.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie Turner and Nellie Brewington, and two brothers, Earl and Lawrence Cathcart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Greenville County, 15 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, Simpsonville, with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery, West.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad, Buck. There are many fond memories from childhood at your house. Including butchering the hog in the back yard every year.
