James "Jim" Ervin Hill
Travelers Rest
James "Jim" Ervin Hill, 78, of Travelers Rest, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his home.
Born in Pike County, KY, he was a son of the late Barney and Dessie Madden Hill. Mr. Hill served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired as General Manager from Ashworth Bros. and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Emmaline "Bunny" Dangerfield Hill; one son: James Ray Hill (Emily); three sisters: Evelyn Lee Coleman, Shelby Jean Swinney, and Fannie Mae Swinney; one brother: Denver Douglas Hill; two grandchildren: Angie Lovelace, and Ray Arthur Hill; and two great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Adalyn Lovelace. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Janet Yvonne Hill Master. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1 until 2 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will be at the home.
