Rampey, W. Marshall - Piedmont  
W. Marshall Rampey Piedmont W. Marshall Rampey was born on September 4, 1924, the ninth of thirteen children of John Samuel and Marion Major Rampey. He died on May 20, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Willene Pressley Rampey, to whom he was married for more than 73 years. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Philippines. He began his ministerial training in 1946, graduating from Central Wesleyan College (now Southern Wesleyan University) in 1951 with a Bachelor of Theology degree. He also received a Bachelor of Arts from Wofford in 1953. He served the SC District of The Wesleyan Church as a pastor (1949-2003) and in numerous other district offices and duties during his years of ministry. From 2003-2011, he served as Chaplain for the Greenville campus of Southern Wesleyan University. When he retired in 2013, he had given 64 years of consecutive ministerial service. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Southern Wesleyan University and Kernersville Wesleyan Academy. He also taught in the Spartanburg District 5 public school system for several years. In recognition of his community involvement with the PTA, he was awarded a lifetime membership. As a result of his service and ministry across the years, Southern Wesleyan University honored him as the Alumnus of the Year. He was also presented the Order of the Crescent in 2001 by the Office of the Governor. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a son, Rev. W. Marshall "Buddy" (Joan) Rampey, Jr.; a daughter, Martha Ruth Rampey; four grandchildren, Marian (Lance) Vischer, Matt (Michelle) Rampey, Aaron (Liz) Rampey, Rev. Emily (Matt) Miller; and thirteen grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Joe (Sarah) Rampey, Rev. Paul (Lorretta) Rampey and Robert (Joan) Rampey; one sister, Doris Rampey Higgins. He is predeceased by one son, Paul Norman Rampey; five brothers, J.W., Curtis, Major, Leon, Fred; three sisters, Helen Mullinax, Ruby McCall and Mary Sprouse. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 23, at ALIVE Wesleyan Church, 136 Chastain Road, Central, SC. Presiding ministers are Dr. Fred Andrews and Dr. James Wiggins. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the church. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC at 3:30 PM, Monday. Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central is in charge of arrangements. The family will be at the home of Buddy and Joan Rampey at 103 Jameson Drive, Piedmont, SC. Redding, Billy - Easley  
William "Billy" R. Redding Easley, SC William "Billy" R. Redding, of Easley, husband to Pam Redding, went to his heavenly home, May 10, 2016. He was born February 24, 1961 to Ralph and Dot Redding. Billy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Pam; son, Joseph; daughters, Anna and Emily; mother Dot. He was preceded in death by his daddy, R.V. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14th at 12:30PM in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 1623 Hester Store Road, Easley, with Rev. Paul Turner officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Family received friends Friday, May 13th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, and for one hour prior to service Saturday at the church. Mildred Cothran Robinson Greenville Mildred Cothran Robinson, 87, widow of Charles B. Robinson, died Friday, May 20, 2016. Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Purdie McCall Cothran. Mrs. Robinson was retired from Smithwick Jewelers as a bookkeeper and was a member of Earle Street Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Charlotte Boehm and husband, Dan, of Greenville and Kristie Hilton and husband, Mark, of Taylors; grandchildren, Joshua Hilton, Dana Boehm, Leslie Boehm, Laura Boehm, Kaylie Hilton, Jeremy Hilton and Wesley Boehm; great grandchildren, Makensie and Gabriel Hilton and Dylan Hilton; brothers, Harold Cothran of Easley and Roger Cothran of North Carolina; sisters, Ella Rasor and Deborah Manning, both of North Carolina. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Rodriguez, Steven - Greenville  
Greenville Steven Charles Rodriquez of Greenville, SC passed away at home May 18, 2016. Born in Newport, RI, he was the son of Louis John and Carolyn Marie Rodriquez. Steven was an avid golfer and he loved to fly. He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Coral Rodriquez; his daughter Amy Rodriquez Eades; and his sons David and James Rodriquez. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey Rodriquez; and sisters Tracy Vogrin Rodriquez and Jody Rodriquez. A funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 500 W. Lee Road, Taylors, SC on Monday, May 23rd at 11:30am. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow at M J Dolly Cooper Veterans, 140 Inway Drive Anderson, SC 29621. Born in Greenville County to his father, the late B.D. Redding, and step father and mother, the late Rev. Paul R. Jones and Cora Pace Jones; He was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years; son, David R. Redding (Melissa); daughter, Michele R. Morris (Wayland); grandchildren, Rebecca Jo and Emily Olivia Redding and Hunter David Ryder and Drew Wayland Morris; one niece and one nephew. Marlene Rodgers Liberty Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Rodgers will be held at 3:00 PM Friday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Emma Marlene Merck Rodgers, 78, of 21 Highland Terrace, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at Anmed Health in Anderson. Born in Greenville, she was the widow of Robert Rudolph Rodgers and a daughter of the late Lawrence Eugene "Gene" and Inez Porter Merck. She was retired from Duke Energy. She cherished her family and her church, Liberty First Baptist, where she was a long time member. Surviving are a son, Andy Rodgers and his wife Angie of Sandy Springs; 2 brothers, Hugh Merck of Hilton Head and Jim Merck of Chapin; and especially her beloved friend for over 70 years, Harriett Giles of Easley. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Owen. The family will be at their respective homes. Martha Lou Roper Greer Martha Lou Roper, 89, of Greer, wife of the late Russell Roper, passed away Wednesday May 18, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Fanny Gilreath Trammell. She was retired from the textile industry and a member of Mountain View United Methodist church. She is survived by her daughter: Donna Poole(Roger); sister: Imogene Simpson(Mickey); grandchildren: Amy Harry, Daniel Poole(Leslie); great-grandchildren: Preston Harry, Autumn Harry, Korben Poole, and Eden Poole.
