Jo H. Guinn Marietta Martha Joan Hartness Guinn, 75, wife of Warren E. Guinn, died Sunday, April 13, 2014. Born in Sanford, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Signor and Edna Flora Gladden Hartness. Mrs. Guinn was a homemaker and a very active member of Gap Creek Baptist Church in Marietta. She was a member of Greenville Women Giving, Greenville Garden Club, Greenville Literacy Association, and Upstate Forever. She loved the River Falls Community and enjoyed the mountains, the outdoors, animals and nature. She was a great supporter of Recovery Works in Ridge Spring, SC. She was an awesome mother and grandmother. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Warren, are daughter, Amy Jo Guinn of Fairview, NC; sons, Thomas Robert Foster and wife Shounda and Bothwell John Foster, all of Greenville; stepdaughter, Kay Guinn Dunn of Greenville; stepson, Jerry Guinn and wife Sandy of Elk Park, NC; seven grandchildren, Harper Jo Foster, Hannah Hartness Foster, Haley August Foster, Carlea Nicole Dunn, Jessca Dunn Toothman, Eric Guinn, and Heather Turbyfill; two brothers, Thomas P. Hartness and wife Mary Lou and Robert G. Hartness and wife Becky, all of Greenville; uncle, John Douglas Hartness of Rocky Mount, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son Warren E. Guinn III. A memorial service will be held at Gap Creek Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will follow the service at the church.
