Quiggle, George - Greenville  
G. Richard Quiggle Greenville George Richard "Dick" Quiggle, 90, widower of Mildred "Billie" Lucille Barnett Quiggle, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Spring Park Assisted Living. Born in Altoona, PA, he was a son of the late Walter Gregg and Mariah Gertrude Livingston Quiggle. Mr. Quiggle served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Altoona Bottling Works until 1963. He then advanced to PepsiCo until his retirement as an Operations Manager in 1990. He was the only non-graduate engineer with PepsiCo. As a young man, he was a trained singer and performed in many church choirs and community events. Mr. Quiggle was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church, where he was heavily involved in church ministry. Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Ann Trammell and husband, Harry, of Greenville; two granddaughters, Chesney T. Maltby and husband, Chad, of Greenville and Jessica T. Zannini and husband, Scott, of Atlanta; and four great-granddaughters, Harper Ann Maltby, Hannah Louise Maltby, Gabriella Livingston Zannini, and Benicio Salvatore Zannini. He was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Quiggle, and sister, Sarah Stoler Harnish. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19th from 2:30 - 3:15 p.m. at Mauldin United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Burial to follow in Mauldin United Methodist Church Cemetery. Racer, Nellie Kellett - Laurens  
Nellie Kellett Racer Laurens Nellie Kellett Racer, 99, of Laurens, formerly of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on May 16, 2015. Born October 8, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Talmage Milton and Mae Vaughan Kellett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Ralph Alden Racer, brothers Charles, Milton and Roy Grady Kellett, and sisters Madeline Kellett Willis and Grace Kellett Junker. She graduated with highest honors from Spartanburg Methodist College and was employed by Laurens County Agent Office. After her marriage, she taught in the Virginia Public Schools, worked as secretary at Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation, and retired in 1970 as Correspondent for First Colony Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church and a past member of Park View United Methodist in Lynchburg, where she taught and served for many years. Her knowledge of the Bible was astounding. She was a regular nursing home volunteer, taught all types of handwork and received many prizes for her own beautiful handwork. In 1993, she returned to South Carolina to reside in assisted nursing homes where she was active in musical events and in researching and writing news articles about the residence. In 2005, she moved to National Health Care Laurens. Throughout her life, she inspired people in all walks of life to make the most of their strengths and talents. And she often said "I can't stand to see anybody hungry." She lived a giving, gracious life. Nellie(Nell) is survived by daughter Alice and husband Dr. Donald Anderson, granddaughter Gretchen Cilley (Brad), grandson David Anderson (Stephanie), great-grandchildren Noah and Emma Anderson, and Evan and Joe Cilley-all of Washington State. Also surviving are brother David Dee Kellett of Gray Court, sisters Lucia Kellett Whitlock of Cartersville, Virginia, and Patricia Kellett Jones of Laurens. She leaves dear nieces and nephews, dedicated friends Doris, Elaine, Karan, Jackie, Tyrone, and loving helpers at NHC Laurens. Nellie honored Dr. William Childers for his kind care of more than ten years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 20 at 2:00 at Green Pond United Methodist Church. Renegar, Edith - Greer  
Edith M. Renegar Copes Greer Edith M. Renegar Copes, 79 of Greer, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Born in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Leonard and Mary Mildred Dillon DeLozier. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Greenville and retired from Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. She is survived by four children: David Renegar of Greenville, Paige Stewart of Irmo, Douglas Renegar of Charleston, and James Renegar of Taylors; three granddaughters and one great-grandson. She was predeceased by her first husband: Douglas Renegar, her second husband Charles Copes and a brother: James DeLozier. Edie loved gardening and keeping a good home. Her biggest joy was having family home for the holidays. Beverly Carlton Rife Taylors Beverly Jane Carlton Rife, 54, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of Frances Ballew Carlton and the late James Carlton. She was a homemaker and attended Living Branch Ministries Church. Surviving are her children: David Michael Rife and Dana Michelle Rife both of the home; brothers: Richard W. Carlton, James E. Carlton and Jeffrey A. Carlton all of Travelers Rest. Along with her father, Beverly was predeceased by sisters: Brenda Neloms and Bernice Aiken. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral service will be Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest. Robinson, Glenn - Pickens  
Glenn C. Robinson Pickens Glenn C. Robinson, 88, of Woodlane Drive, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015. Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Willie and Inar Holder Robinson. Mr. Robinson was retired from Ryobi in Pickens and also owned and operated Robinson Shoe Repair for several years. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and was a US Navy Veteran. Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Nancy Dalton Robinson of the home. Mr. Robinson was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted. The family will be at the home. Matthew C. Robinson Central, SC Matthew Christopher Robinson, 16, an honor student at D.W. Daniel High School, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Mary Medlin Robinson Gibson and her husband, who raised Matthew, Steve Gibson of Central. His father, Glenn Robinson currently resides in Greenville. Matthew was a member of the Daniel High School Marching Band, Carolina Youth Symphony, Clemson University Symphony and Boy Scout Troop # 172 of Liberty. He was a member of Alive Wesleyan Church where he loved to volunteer to help park cars for the church services. He recently began working at McDonalds in Clemson. Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Katherine Rebecca Robinson of the home; and maternal grandparents, Diedrich and Aileen Medlin of Central; and uncle, David Robinson of Liberty. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday at Alive Wesleyan Church in Central with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Citizens Bank to help defray the funeral expenses.
