Joan Mildred Aurilio Merrill Hendersonville Joan Mildred Aurilio Merrill, of Taylors, widow of Robert Alan Merrill, died Sunday, November 16, 2014. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Aurilio. She is survived by a son, Tim Merrill and wife Linda, of Hendersonville, NC; two sisters, Nancy Ellen White, of CT, and Edith Lacey, of CT; one brother, Frank Aurilio, of NC; two grandsons Jason and Christopher Merrill; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband she is preceded in death by a son Bruce Kevin Merrill. A service was held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Morris, Phillip - Gray Court  
Phillip Morris Gray Court Phillip A. Morris, 65, of Gray Court, went to be with the Lord Thursday evening November 20, 2014. He was retired from General Electric after working there 34 years. Phillip is survived by his wife, Debra Morris, two daughters, April (Bradley) Wilburn, and Sherry (Chip) Singleton, one son, Frank (Brandy) Handley, 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Bailey Morris, his father Fred and his step-mother Mary Morris, and one son, Ben Morris. A memorial service will be held on Monday November 24, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Northside Baptist Church in Laurens. Poore, Leonard - Greenville  
Leonard Junior Poore Greenville Leonard Junior Poore, of Greenville, SC, loving husband of 65 years to Virginia Holcombe Poore, died November 21, 2014. Mr. Poore participated in the Korean War as a member of the US Army and was retired from Pet Dairy. Mr. Poore is survived by two children, Jean Cobb (Tim) and Michael Poore; grandchildren, Karla Bryant (Chad) and Justin Burdine; great grandchildren, Javan Perkins, Trey Bryant, and Mikalia Foster; special niece, Mary Maddox; and special friends, Debbie and Steve Crocker. Along with his wife, Virginia, Mr. Poore is preceded in death by his parents, William Lester Poore and Flora Ray Poore and siblings, Midlred Culpepper and Harold Poore. The visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 10:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest chapel. Shell, James - Piedmont  
James Edward "Ed" Shell Piedmont James Edward "Ed" Shell, 93, husband of Betty Elrod Shell, died Thursday, November 20, 2014. Mr. Shell served in the US Army during World War II. He retired as Vice President of Orders Distributing. He was a former member of Wren Ruritan Club and was a volunteer fireman in Powdersville. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, B.J. Powers of Alpharetta, GA; son, Robert "Bob" E. Shell of Piedmont; grandchild, Robert Ezekiel Shell and wife, Heather; two great grandchildren, Brennan Edward and Alexis Grace Shell. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. Taylor, Glenn A. - Easley  
Glenn E. Taylor Easley Glenn E. Taylor, 81, widower of Eloise Jennings Taylor, went to be with his Lord on November 19, 2014, after a brief illness. Mr. Taylor was the son of the late James and Essie Taylor. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, and a veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Korean War. He retired as Lieutenant of the Simpsonville Police Department. He is survived by three sons, Darrell Taylor (Kathy), Mark Taylor, and Victor Jennings (Janice); a daughter, Kay Monsour (George); two brothers; one sister; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Wilham, Doris Vance - Keowee Key  
Doris Vance Wilham Keowee Key Doris Vance Wilham, 79, recently of Keowee Key, SC, passed away on Nov. 4, 2014. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Fred Wilham; her daughter and son-in-law and their daughters and granddaughter: Cheryl and Paul Swenson, Marissa Swenson, Liz Swenson and her daughter Zoey, of Greenville, SC; and son, F. Vance Wilham of Atlanta, GA. Doris was a lifelong Baptist and worked as a registered nurse in Louisville, KY, where she and Fred raised their 2 children. They relocated to Keowee Key in 1992 to be actively involved in their granddaughter's lives. Doris enjoyed bridge, reading, painting, cooking, and spending time with her family. A private service was held for the family and they received visitors at the Swenson's home. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Open Arms Hospice for their loving care of Doris, and the family during her last days. Willey, Robert Beverley - Greenville  
Robert Beverley Willey Greenville Robert Beverley Willey, 90, of Greenville, husband of Sybil Beiers Willey died November 21, 2014. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Howard and Nannie Young Willey. Mr. Willey retired from Milliken and served in the United States Army from April, 1943 through December, 1945 achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a tank commander in the European Theater of Operations and took part in three major campaigns. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during his service. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Nancy Hill (John), Steve Willey (Beverly), Mark Stoudenmire (Julie), Lynn Stoudenmire (Kim), Trina Jones (John); and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Carleen M. Willey, one brother and five sisters. Visitation will be at Pelham Road Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. on November 24, 2014 followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Wilson, Donald Ted - Easley  
Donald Ted Wilson Easley Mr. Donald Ted Wilson, Sr., 76, husband of Jean Hill Wilson, went to be with his Lord Friday, November 21, 2014 at his home in Easley. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many, Don was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, son of Daniel Woodrow and Eleanor Caskey Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from Perrigo Pharmaceutical Company and was a member of First United Methodist Church Easley, where he was a former Sunday School teacher and youth leader. In his free time he enjoyed gardening, coin collecting, and reading. He was a graduate Wofford College where he received a football scholarship. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Donna W. Roy of Easley, Delaine W. Childress (Jeff) of Seneca, and a son, Donald Ted Wilson, Jr. (Kim) of Easley; five grandchildren, Erica Roy, Emory Childress, Georgia Childress, Jarrett Wilson, and Maddie Wilson; and a brother, Kenneth L. Wilson (Marianne) of Garner, North Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Major Jerry W. Wilson, and a sister, Betty Jean Wilson. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Easley on Saturday, December 6 at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. Rodney Powell officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church Easley, 115 West First Avenue, Easley, South Carolina 29640, or Blue Ridge Hospice, 105 Lovett Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29607. Cremation Society of SC is serving the Wilson family.

Edna Rogers Wyatt Greenville Edna Rogers Wyatt, 86, beloved wife of 62 years to Bill M. Wyatt died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the McCall Hospice House. Born and raised in Pelzer, SC. She was the daughter of the late Shuman and Ruth Dowis Rogers. She was a graduate of Pelzer High School, class of 1945. Shortly after her high school graduation she was employed with F.W. Woolworth at the Main Street store in downtown Greenville where she retired after 41 years as Store Manager. Mrs. Wyatt was a loyal and active member of Dunean Baptist Church where she was Treasurer Emeritus. In addition to her husband she is survived by two brothers, William Rogers (Arlene) of Greer and David Rogers (Agnes) of Greenville; sister, Dorothy R, Hudson of Greer; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Helen R. Sides, Carolyn R. King, Alice R. Holloway, Bobbie R. Moore, and Patricia R. Thomas; and brother, John Shuman Rogers. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dunean Baptist Church, 21 Allen St., Greenville, SC 29605.
