Mullinnix, Mary - Campobello  
Mary Ellen Mullinnix Campobello Mary Ellen Mullinnix, 86, of Campobello, widow of George Ansel Mullinnix Jr., died Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Esther Miller. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. Mary is survived by two daughters, Lib Mullinnix and Alison Batson (Brian); two sons, Robby (Debbie) and Jimmy Mullinnix (Karen); nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Friddle. The visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Clearview Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Clearview Baptist Church, 5611 State Park Road, Travelers Rest, SC, 29690. Nowell, Emily Dendy - Seneca  
Emily Dendy (Mamaw) Nowell Seneca Emily Dendy Nowell (Mamaw), wife of the late Arthur Edward Nowell, passed away peacefully at the GHS Cottingham House on April 23, 2016. She was the oldest of three girls born to the late John Allen and Emily Corbin Dendy on August 4, 1925 in the Richland Community of Oconee County. A graduate of Seneca High School she left the Richland area briefly to work at the Naval Yard in Charleston where she met the love of her life. They were married 55 years at the time of his passing in 1999. A proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she leaves behind her boys, Arthur Edward Nowell (Alice) Seneca, SC, Allen Dendy Nowell (Lavita) Blowing Rock, NC, Gregorie Webb Nowell (Cathie) West Union, SC, Nicholas Herndon Nowell (Kim) Asheville, NC, Louis Gaillard Nowell (Sarah) Seneca, SC and Christoper Corbin Nowell (Lynn) Summerville, SC; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Betty Dendy Boyle of Summerville, SC and Peggy Dendy Hopkins of Hopkins, SC; and one grandson. The family is at their respective homes. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Owens, Joyce - Easley  
Joyce Wrenn Owens Easley, SC Joyce Wrenn Owens, 76, of Easley, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, April 23, 2016, and was the loving wife of Melvin Ray Owens. Born in Greenville, SC to the late Clyde Allison Wrenn and Eleanor Ophelia Cassell Wrenn. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, and a former member of Monaghan Baptist Church and Tanglewood Baptist Church. Joyce was an active choir member. In earlier years she played organ, piano, drums, banjo, all by ear, and was a member of the gospel quartet, Cheerful Sounds for many years. She loved to do her yard work, had the most infectious smile, brought joy to any room she entered, and she was a "friend maker". She impacted her community in her daily travels, and was truly a friend to all she encountered. In addition to her husband of 57 years, Joyce is survived by her son, Timothy Ray Owens, of Greenville; daughter, Melanie Renee Crews (Craig), of Easley; sisters, Joann Wrenn, of Greer, Betty Sue Burbach (George), Judy Fair (Greg), all of Chapin, and Miriam Thomas (Mike), of Mauldin; grandchildren, Taylor Crews, Ethan Crews, and Savannah Owens; mother-in-law & dearest friend, Viola Owens. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 28th at 11:00AM in Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley with Reverend David Osborne and Pastor Troy Harrison officiating. Family with receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, April 27th at the funeral home and from 10:00AM to 10:45AM Thursday, April 28th prior to the service. Flowers are accepted, and family requested donation to Siloam Baptist Church Building Fund or Choir Ministries, 229 Siloam Road, Easley, SC 29642. Virginia P. Painter Greenville Virginia P. Painter, 86, died Thursday, April 28, 2016. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Spurgeon and Era Lounette Horne Phillips. Mrs. Painter retired from Southern Weaving Company. Surviving are former husband and father of her children, William Harold Painter; children, Bill Painter and wife, Michelle, Merri Gillespie and husband, Phil, and Brian Painter and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Jason, Summer, Emily, Madison, and Dawson; great grandchild, Adrianne; and brother, Marvin Phillips. She was preceded in death by son, Steve Painter; grandson, Will Painter; four brothers and a sister.
