Catherine F. Aspray Twin City, GA Catherine F. Aspray, 82, wife of Homer A. Aspray, died Wednesday, 3, 2016. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late B. F. and Mamie Cissom Fowler. Mrs. Aspray was a sales associate at Belk Department Store and a member of Coneechee Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 62 years, are children, Cathy Stephens and husband, Jerry, of Vidalia, GA, Homer A. Aspary, Jr. and wife, Hester, of Travelers Rest, and Sebrana Alexander and husband, Ashley, of Oak Park, GA; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Gault of Simpsonville and Ronnie Fowler of Augusta, GA; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Bernice and Delores. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the funeral service following at 3:45 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.thomasmcafee.com . Harter, Grace - Simpsonville  
Grace Harter Simpsonville Mrs. Grace Sease Harter, 86, of Ehrhardt, South Carolina and longtime resident of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2016, surrounded by her loving family in her son's residence in Simpsonville, South Carolina while under the care of Gentiva Hospice. She was the widow of Mr. Gary E. Harter, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, February 1, 2016, from Ehrhardt Baptist Church, 427 Allen Street, Ehrhardt. The Reverend Kelly Shanks, officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Ehrhardt Cemetery. Born April 3, 1929 in the Lodge community of Colleton County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Courtney Sease and the late Delle Cone Sease. Having attended Ehrhardt School and Dranghon Business College, she was a retired office manager of Belk Hudson Department Store in Walterboro. She dearly loved book keeping, and continued to engage in this activity until the age of 83. She was a member of the Ehrhardt Baptist Church. Surviving are: her son, Gary M. Harter and his wife Bobbi of Simpsonville; and a brother, Wallace Courtney Sease and his wife Gloria of West Palm Beach, Florida. There are two granddaughters, Stephanie Nicole and her husband Joe Moreland, and Melissa A. Doyle and Scott Pfarner; and a grandson, Marshall Harter; as well as her special friends, Emily Watts and Barbara Smith of Summerville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Dianne Harter; and a brother, Clarence Sease. Wanda Norwood Howard Travelers Rest Wanda Norwood Howard, 49, of Travelers Rest, wife of Danny Howard, died Thursday, February 4, 2016. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of Ruby Pace Norwood and the late Carl Norwood. Wanda worked for T&S Brass for 31 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a 1984 graduate of Berea High School and loved Clemson and animals. Surviving, in addition to her loving husband of 27 years, is a son, Christopher Clayton Howard; a sister, Cynthia Diane Harris (Mark); and a brother, Phil Norwood. The visitation will be held Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest chapel. Mauldin, Roy - Easley  
Roy Eugene Mauldin Easley, SC Mr. Roy Eugene Mauldin, 75, of the Magnolia's of Easley, loving husband of the late Frances Nix Mauldin, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Brookdale of Easley. Roy was born in Pickens County on April 15, 1940 to the late Jerry and Addie Mae Pace Mauldin. He retired from Michelin Corporation as a test driver and after retirement, worked for several car dealerships around the area as a transporter. Roy was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Mauldin is survived by three daughters; Ruth Nations and Martha Breitwieser (Jeff) both of Easley, and Judy Quackenbush of Warrenton, VA; and three sisters; Lois Covington of Greenville, Margaret Anthony and Grace Anderson (Bob), both of Marietta, GA. Roy is also survived by six grandchildren; Ginger Pearson (Travis), Dora McGillis (Scott), Paul Lesley (Nicole), Cristal Day, Keith Simmons (Alice), and Jennifer Fincham (Matt); and fifteen great-grandchildren; Haley, Lesley, Ashley, Ireland, Sullivan, Jacob, Hannah, Harper, Kelsey, Hunter, Marley, Morgan, Charley, Owen, and Isaac. In addition to his loving wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; George Mauldin; and a sister; Mable Black. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642. Interment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Funeral Home. The family is at the home of his daughter, Martha; 672 Meadow Ridge Road, Easley, SC 29642. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642. Mentzer, Alfred - Greenville  
Alfred Jerome "Jerry" Mentzer Greenville Alfred Jerome "Jerry" Mentzer, 75, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 31, 2016. Born in Wheeling, WV, in 1940, he was a son of the late Albinus J. and Mary M. Thomas Mentzer. Jerry completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and received an MBA from Bowling Green University. He had a 30 year career in engineering at Union Carbide "Amoco". Additionally, he was a Merlin-Excalibur level magician in the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the founder of Magic Methods, Inc., and wrote over 40 books about stage and close-up magic. He had a love of magic, sports (Go Bucks!), history, space, and his friends and family. Jerry is remembered as a guy who looked out for others and will be greatly missed. He is survived by two daughters, Marykay Mentzer, and Barbara Greene of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Hattie Branch, Maisie Greene, and Emma and Charlie Antenen; a brother, Lawrence E. "Larry" Mentzer (Leone) of Louisville; and nieces and nephew, Lesley Osborne, Lynn O'Connor, and Luke Mentzer. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Brotherhood of Magicians, an organization in which Jerry was a long-time member.
