Andrews, John - Travelers Rest  
John "Buster" Wilton Andrews Travelers Rest John "Buster" Wilton Andrews, 66, of Travelers Rest, husband of Sharon Grant Andrews, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Born in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late John Hicks and Willie Mae Smith Andrews. Buster retired from Boy Scouts of America after 30 years, and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of 20 years, are children, Mark Andrews (Tina), Sonya McMillan (Scott), and James Stepp, III; five grandchildren, Daniel, Kayla, Raegan, Ethan, and Cooper; two sisters, Elizabeth Bailey and Frances Burch (Bill); and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest chapel. James E. Bryson Jr. Cuyahoga Falls, OH James E. Bryson, Jr., 70, passed away March 22, 2015. James Bryson, Jr. was born in Piedmont, SC, served in the US Army and moved to Cuyahoga Falls in 2004. He was an inventor, father, and loving husband. He was an engineer with Lubrizol retiring in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda; daughters, Alicia (Jay) Brown of SC, Amy Montemayor of SC, Tasha (Bill) Lowry of Mississippi and Heather Sims of Cuyahoga Falls; six grandchildren; sisters, Sara (Mickey) Carlisle and Patricia (Joel) Jones, both of SC; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Cooke, Marian Bralley - Easley  
Marian Bralley Cooke Simpsonville Marian B. Cooke, 90, of Simpsonville, widow of Rev. Dr. William Thomas Cooke, Jr. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 15, 2015 while at home surrounded by her family. Born in Pulaski, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Cabble McKinley Bralley and the late Iva Porter Bralley. Mrs. Cooke was of the Methodist faith and a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Greer, SC. She attended Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC and retired from Shealy Electrical Wholesalers. Mrs. Cooke was a devoted and well-loved pastor's wife who opened her heart and home to many people throughout her life. Her life was a reflection of one of her favorite passages, Hebrews 13: 1-2, 5, "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares… Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Mrs. Cooke is survived by one son, Bill Cooke, and his wife, Lori, of Greer; three daughters, Rev. Cynthia Taylor and her husband, Rev. Stephen, of Easley, Anne Holbrook and her husband, Jim, of Anderson, and Celeste Keely and her husband, Rev. Bob Keely, of Gray Court; grandchildren, Brad Standridge, Chance Tollison, Cory Tollison, Emily Cooke, Gracie Cooke, Lauren (Daniel) Stines, Kelsey Taylor, Taylor Holbrook, Hannah Holbrook, Tony (Amy) Keely, Jennie (Rusty) Taylor, Nick (Alicia) Keely, and Bryce Keely; one great-grandson, Landon Taylor; one brother, Dr. Ralph Bralley and his wife, Jean, of Virginia; a sister, Fran Aker of Maryland, and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Atkins of Simpsonville. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cooke was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenny Standridge, and one brother, Steven Bralley. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 403 South Weston Street, Fountain Inn, S.C. with Rev. Laura Canine, Rev. Bob Keely and Rev. Stephen Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church starting at 3:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be on Monday at 10:00 am in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, S.C. The family would like to thank Patriot Hospice for the loving care they provided their mom. Rev. Leroy C. Cox Liberty Rev. Leroy Connor Cox, 88, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Lila Doyle Nursing Facility. Rev. Cox was born in Tabor City, NC, a son of the late Daniel and Addie Gore Cox. He was a graduate of Central Wesleyan College now Southern Wesleyan University, served as a minister for over fifty years including High Pine Wesleyan Church, Asheboro, NC, Asheboro First Wesleyan Church, Belmont Wesleyan Church in Belmont, NC, Clyde Wesleyan Church, Clyde, NC, East Gold Street Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain, NC, North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis, NC, Rock Hill Wesleyan Church in Rock Hill, SC. Surviving are his wife of sixty seven years, Loma Voyles Cox of Central; two sons, Virgil C. Cox of Kings Mountain, NC and Dr. Thomas L Cox and his wife, Lori of Virginia Beach, VA; two daughters, Blanche Ray and her husband, Jackie and Ruth Atcheson and her husband, Marty all of Central; one sister, Lorene Prince of Tabor City, NC; six grandchildren Dr. Brian Ray (Shannon) of Boiling Springs, SC, Jason Ray (Sabrina) of Westminster, SC, Dr. Joshua Ray (Rhonda) of Greenville, Dr. John Atcheson (Renee) of Six Mile, SC, Dr. Joe Atcheson (Elizabeth) of Central and Caroline Cox of Virginia Beach, VA. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Wesleyan Church, with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
