Rev. Paul H. Anderson Greenville Rev. Paul H. Anderson, son of Dr. and Mrs. Albert S. Anderson, went home to the Lord at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, on June 27, 2015. He was pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, Fall River, MA. Burial was in Fairfield, CT. A Memorial Service is on Saturday, August 1, @11:00 AM at Second Presbyterian Church, downtown Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to Paul's recorded Evangelistic radio program, "Providence", at WARV c/o Providence Radio, 11 Luther Ave. Warwick, RI 02886, a Missionary outreach to New England and the world-wide net.

Ebersbach, Anne M. - Spartanburg  
Anne M. Ebersbach Spartanburg Miss Anne M. Ebersbach, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, following a brief illness. Born Dec. 19, 1926 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Georg Fritz and Margarete Hagge Ebersbach. She grew up in Middleburgh, NY, graduating from Middleburgh Central School and Katharine Gibbs School in New York. She was a certified professional secretary. In October of 1945, she went to work for Deering Milliken, Inc., later Milliken and Co., a career that lasted over 64 years. She was the executive assistant for Roger Milliken until his retirement in 2009 from the company. Miss Ebersbach then served as personal secretary to Mr. Milliken until his death in 2010. Anne was a member of the James F. Byrnes Chapter of the National Secretaries Association and served two terms as chapter president. She came to Spartanburg with Deering Milliken in the 1950s, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. The Anne Ebersbach Endowed Scholarship is awarded by Converse College in her honor. Active in the South Carolina Federation of Republican Women, she served on every level of the organization and was president of the state's political group and a member of the board of directors of the National Federation of Republican Women. In 1972, she was an alternate delegate for South Carolina to the Republican National Convention. Anne is survived by her sister, Elise E. Manning, two nephews, Edward J. Manning and his wife Melanie and sons, Brian Manning, Eric Manning and his wife Kayla and R. Scott Manning and his wife Haeran and daughters, Hanna and Brianna. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:15 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, with services following at 12:30 PM in the sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Michael Shackelford. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC 29681 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anne Ebersbach Endowed Scholarship Fund, Converse College, 580 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. Griffith, John W. - Fountain Inn  
John W. Griffith Fountain Inn John Wayne Griffith, 72, husband of Helen Griffith, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Born in Greer, SC he was a son of the late William Charles Griffith and Pearl Pittman Griffith. John loved going to Flea Markets, fishing and drag racing. But his true passion and what he was known for was cooking the world's best barbecue. In addition to his wife he is survived by his two sons John Wayne Griffith, Jr. and Peter Lawrence Griffith; three sisters Sue Finley and husband David; Mary Jane Griffith; and Nannie Ruiz and husband Jerry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by one sister Lovenia Dill and two brothers Charles Griffith and Harold Griffith. Harden, Joe H. - Sunset  
Joe H. Harden Sunset Joe Henry Harden, beloved husband of Mary Hinkle Harden, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Joe was born on September 10, 1944 to the late Ruby Adams Webb. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pickens. He lived a lifetime of assisting others, beginning with his service in the U. S. Army Military Police and graduation from West Point. He was employed by Easley City Police Department as a uniform patrol officer and detective and with Greenville City Police Department, where he served as a uniform patrol officer and detective in whilt collar crime specialist. He was recognized as Police Officer of the year for Greenville Police Department in 1981, 1983, and 1984. He received a special recognition award in 1988 by the agent in charge of the SC Office of the FBI. The next twenty years, 1987 to 2007, were spent with Canal Insurance Company as a special investigations unit manager. From 2007 to 2010, he was employed with Carolina Causality Insurance Company as fire and theft claims supervisor. Joe was currently employed with Heavy Salvage and also served as associate municipal judge for the City of Easley, SC, Director of Pickens County Youth Court and as Pickens County School System hearing officer. He was also a Pickens County Reserve Deputy. Joe was the first male member of the Insurance Women of the Piedmont, who presented him with the 2013 Distinguished Service Award of Excellence. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and pets. His hobbies included golf, and restoring classic cars. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hinkle Harden, daughter, Michelle Garrett and husband Scott, nephews reared in the home, Jon and Justin Hinkle, granddaughters, Abby and Hannah Garrett, sisters, Bessie Webb, Ruth Webb and Sylvia Owen, brothers, Teddy and J. L. Webb. In addition, Joe is survived by a loving and caring brother-in-law and wife, David and Cindy Hinkle and friends, Phyllis Harden, Gail Strickland, and Wendell Hunter who considered Joe a mentor. The family wishes to thank the staff of Bon Secours St. Frances Cancer Center, St. Frances Batson Cancer Center, Gibbs Cancer Center and Pruitt Hospice for their dedicated care. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 12 to 1:45 PM with a graveside service following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens at 2 PM. G. R. (Buck) Hooper Greenville Gilbert Randall (Buck) Hooper, of 20 Rock Garden Lane went home to be with the his Heavenly Father July 29, 2015. Born in Greenville November 17, 1939, he was the son of the late Felix E. and Myrtle Rigdon Hooper. He was a 1958 graduate of Berea High School and served in the Army Reserves. Buck worked in Finance and Insurance and was the owner of ATJ Janitorial Service. He was an active member of Berea First Baptist Church for 58 years, serving as a deacon, SS teacher and coaching many boys and girls in basketball and softball. He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church from 2008 until present. Surviving are his wife of 52 years Lynn Welch Hooper; one daughter, Brentley Hooper Reeves and her husband Richard Todd Reeves; two granddaughters, Shaler Kaid Reeves and Ella Ray Reeves; a sister, Barbara Hamby and her husband Bill; a brother, Monte F. Hooper and his wife Joan; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at2:30 p.m. at Taylors First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 to2:15 p.m. in the Gathering Space of the Church. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice; 429 N. Rev. Raymon Kennedy Belton Rev. Raymon Kennedy, 88, widower of Lewanna Kennedy, went to his long awaited heavenly home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was twice married, first to the late Lucille Kennedy. He proudly served his country as a Marine in WWII. Soon after giving his heart to Jesus, he was called to preach. Rev. Kennedy pastored for over 50 years in the Church of God and Assembly of God. Survivors include children, Brenda Haley (Bob) of Columbia, Darrell Kennedy (Sandy) of Fort Worth, TX, Cynthia Beddingfield (Billy) of St. Stephens, SC, Kit Kennedy (Bobbie) of Belton and Denise Jean (Arif) of Belton; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, 2015, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Ware Place Church of God. The funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Richard Lewis Smith Central Richard L. Smith went home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2015 after an extended illness. Born in Greenville he was the son of Michael Lewis Smith and the late Rhonda Tysinger Hernandez. Survivors include a son, Brayden Lewis Smith; his father, Michael; stepmom, Rhonda Crowe Smith; sister, Stephanie Smith Breve (Spencer Smith and Hannah Breve); step brother, Dustin Sheppard; loving fiancé, Erica Powers (Byron and Braydon); special uncle, Troy Tysinger; grandparents: Theodosia Smith, the late Frank Smith, Jr., and the late Jack and Shirley Tysinger. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Richard loved Jesus, his family and lived life to the fullest. He was a member of Happy Trails Cowboy Church. Services will be Sunday August 2, 2015 with receiving friends beginning at 1:30pm with memorial service following at 3:00pm at Mtn. Springs Baptist Church, 410 Mtn. Springs Rd. Piedmont.
