Ader Irene Rhodes Babb, 86, of 2631 Fews Bridge Road, widow of Lowell Babb, died April 2, 2014 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Saluda, N.C., daughter of the late Harrison Reese and Noda Pace Rhodes, she was a former employee of Southern Bleachery, homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are one son, L. Lynn Babb of Greer; two brothers and sister-in-law, Hilliard Rhodes of East Flat Rock, N.C. and Harrison Rhodes and Sandra of Saluda, N.C.; two sisters, Alma R. Ballard of Horseshoe, N.C. and Mary Ann R. Murr of Mosheim, TN and two sisters-in-law, Essie H. Rhodes of Flat Rock, N.C. and Janice B. Garrett of Lyman.

Mrs. Babb was predeceased by three brothers, J. Lindsey Rhodes, Marshall Rhodes and Grayson C. Rhodes and two sisters, Atlas R. Collins and Agnes Rhodes.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Wilson Nelson. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 7:00-8:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
