Alberta G. Dusthimer, 87, wife of Charles William Dusthimer, died Monday, February 11, 2013.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Rosa A. Fox Coffman.

Mrs. Dusthimer was a retired Legal Secretary and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, where she was active in the senior group. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church choir for 20 years.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 67 years, are a son, David M. Dusthimer and wife, Debra; a daughter, Nancy L. Chandler and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Joni Wrightstone, Michael Dusthimer, Christopher Dusthimer, Matthew Chandler and Andrew Chandler; thirteen great grandchildren; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Barker and Helen Long.

She was a very active grandmother and great grandmother. No meal was complete without her noodles, deviled eggs and especially her chocolate chip cookies.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated following at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2252 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681; St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church, 1215 S. Highway 14, Greer, SC 29650; or Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010.
