Bobby W. Lemmons, Sr.


Bobby Wickliffe Lemmons, Sr., 79, of 5 Hampshire Drive, died November 1, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.

A native of Westminster, son of the late Leon Alfred and Alice Mason Lemmons, he was a retired employee of GE Gas Turbine, a US Army Korean War Veteran and a member Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Hall Lemmons of the home; three sons and daughters in law, Bobby W. (Wick) Lemmons, Jr., and Margaret, David and Sallie Lemmons and Virgil and Frankie Lemmons all of Greer; one daughter, Alice Nobles of Greer; one step-son Keith and Brenda Satterfield of Taylors; one step-daughter, Lynn and Marion Terry of Greenville; one brother, Bill Lemmons of Greer; one sister, Shirley Blackwell of Lyman; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Lemmons was predeceased by his first wife Judith Ann Lemmons, two brothers, Clarence and Harold Lemmons and one grandson, Bryan Terry.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Ron Fleming, Dr. Dennis Holtzclaw and Dr. Mike Runion. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Honorary escort will be the Foundation Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held 12:45-2:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
