Bonnie Raynes(1937 - 2013)

Bonnie R. Raynes

Taylors

Bonnie Ruth Wilbanks Raynes, 75, of Taylors, SC, passed peacefully on June 10, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Bessie and Percy Wilbanks of Greer, SC and the wife of Ronald "Ronnie" Louis Raynes of Alexandria, VA.

After graduating from Blue Ridge High School, Bonnie married Ronnie at Faith Temple in Greer, SC and then moved to Northern Virginia to start a new life. They had two children, Renee Charleen (Mitch Cunningham) and Richard Louis (Melanie McManus), both couples now living in Greer, SC. Bonnie was the owner of two real estate title insurance companies in Virginia. Although many changes occurred over the years, as with all lives, the one constant was Bonnie's belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Bonnie was the rock that the family could rely on. Returning to SC for retirement, Bonnie and Ronnie were active members of Praise Cathedral and enjoyed church events, singings, and family. Bonnie enjoyed real estate, reading, bargain hunting, and working puzzles. Late in life, Bonnie was overjoyed with the birth of her granddaughter, Morghan Raynes. Bonnie could not spend enough time with her grandbaby. Bonnie was a shining example of how to live a strong, Christian life.

The family will receive friends at Praise Cathedral on June 15, 2013 from 1 until 2:45PM with a brief service to be held at 3PM. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Greer, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Praise Cathedral, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, SC 29650.
