Charles Albin Warth
Charles Albin Warth, 60, of Greenville, husband of Rebecca B. Warth, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013.
Born in Summit, N.J., he was a son of the late Philip Roger and Agnes Schuster Warth.
Mr. Warth was the Executive Director and Founder of Allen Temple Community Economic Development Corporation. He received the Max Heller Award for Excellence in community development. Mr. Warth was awarded the Affordable Housing Developer of the year by the S.C. Affordable Housing Coalition and has been nominated for the Order of the Palmetto. He was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four daughters, Emily Harper and husband, Doug, Margaret Galipeau and husband, Nicholas, Hannah Warth, and Sarah Warth; three sisters, Margaret Donovan, Anne DeRepentigny, and Eileen Doolan; three brothers, Philip Warth, Gregory Warth, Daniel Warth; five grandchildren, Gracie and Ally Harper, Olivia, Jacob, and Charlie Galipeau.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Leslie.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with visitation following the service in the sanctuary atrium.
