Doris Burns Taylor, 82, of 146 Trammell Road, Travelers Rest, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of the late Winston J. "Bill" Taylor.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Agnes Cox Burns. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Mt. View High School; a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who put the needs of others before herself.

Surviving is a daughter, Deborah T. Owens and husband Jim; two granddaughters, Stephanie Owens and Kelly Owens; a great granddaughter, Alyssa Batson; a sister, Bobbie Poole; two nieces, Sharon McFeeley and Rhonda Butler and a nephew, George F. Ducker, IV.

In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by a sister, Linda Burns Ducker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The family will be at 146 Trammell Road, Travelers Rest.
