Ethel May Carnes Trammell


Ethel May Carnes Trammell, 95, widow of James Eugene Trammell, died Monday, August 19, 2013.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late George Elbert and Martha Terry Carnes.

Mrs. Trammell retired from Union Carbide and was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid seamstress, enjoyed making blankets, taking pictures, scrapbooking and enjoyed animals.

Surviving, are five children, James E. Trammell, Jr. (Phyllis) of Easley, Robert Trammell (Susie) of Piedmont, Michael Trammell (Linda) of Easley, Stanley Trammell of Greenville, and Nancy Boggs (Ronnie) of Easley; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
