Frances Blanche Chiles, age 91, widow of James F. Chiles, Sr., passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis A. Fowler and Mamie M. Fowler Whitt. Mrs. Chiles was a homemaker for 64 years and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles and loved her family.

Mrs. Chiles is survived by a son, James Fred Chiles, Jr. and wife Johnsie; a daughter, Vicki C. Chiles; four grandsons, Derek A. Wiggs, Christopher M. Chiles, Robert G. Wiggs and wife Rita, and Aaron P. Wiggs; a great granddaughter, Alyssa Wiggs; and a great grandson, Jacob Wiggs. She was predeceased by two daughters, Sherry Chiles and Sheila Chiles; two brothers, Lewis A. Fowler and Edgar S. Fowler; and two sisters, Katie A. Taylor and Roxie Fowler.

Mrs. Chiles was the last surviving member of her family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home-Jones Chapel, 603 West Curtis Street, Simpsonville with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home-Jones Chapel prior to the funeral service.
