Henry Doyle Fulbright, 93, of Welcome community died Monday, January 7, 2013, at his home.

Born February 18, 1919, in Franklin County, GA, he was the son of George W. and Rosie Brown Fulbright and oldest of 13 children. He moved to Greenville at age 17 and soon after became a barber. He worked as a barber for 67 years, only retiring fully in 2006 from Dunean Barber Shop which he owned and operated before relinquishing the reigns to two of his sons.

He was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and former member of Judson Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Sarah Cole Fulbright.

Surviving are three sons, G. Wilburn (Susie), Tommy L. (Angela), and Jimmy R. Fulbright (Pam); two daughters, Shirley F. Lambe (Ron) and Carol F. Hughes (Gene); four brothers, Joe H., Dan D. ( Evelyn), Gene T. ( Betty) and Paul W. (Sylvia) Fulbright; four sisters, Mrs. Doris F. Bailey, Mrs. Blanche F. Kidd, Mrs. Mildred F. Tatham, and Mrs. Mary F. Pridmore; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Welcome Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the Church.
