Haskell Monroe Simpson, 85, of Simpsonville, died March 15, 2013.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late John and Emma Simpson and husband of the late Anna Faye Simpson.

Haskell served in the Coast Guard during World War II and was a retired electrician from Texize.

He was a member of Standing Springs Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and an active member of the Sunshine Club.

Mr. Simpson is survived by four children, his daughter, Sylvia Burns and husband, Douglas, David Simpson and wife, Pamela, John Simpson and wife, Margaret, and Terry Simpson and wife, Allison; ten grandchildren, Michael Burns, Cortney Bowers, Tyler, Lauren, and Christopher Simpson, Erin Keene, Rebecca Strickland, Matt, Abby, and Grace Simpson; five great grandchildren, Caroline and Madison Burns, Hayden and Caleb Keene, and Walker Simpson; and his brother, Thomas G. Simpson.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Cloys Camp, Ruby Shelton and Pauline Bell; and a brother, Floyd Simpson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, with visitation prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:15 p.m.

Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, West.
