Lela F. Hall "Granny", age 107, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.

Born in Surrey County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Frances Joyce Chilton. She lived and raised her family in Greensboro, North Carolina before relocating to Fountain Inn in 1980 to be near her daughter, Ola. Mrs. Hall assisted in raising five generations of her family and every child she cared for loved her. She had a quiet dignity and a great sense of humor about her and found good in every person and situation. She will always reside in the hearts of her family.

Mrs. Hall is survived by a daughter, Ola F. Ensor; three grandchildren, Joseph Miller Ensor, Jr., Linda Diane Matthews, and Colene Frances McAbee; eleven great grandchildren, Debra B. Smith, David Balengee, Michael Joseph Ensor, Kimberly E. Napier, Jimmy Carlton Mabes (JC), K. Nicole Woodington, Kristi L. McAbee, Tonya A. West, Tabitha S. Moss, Jill S. Scates, and Erin Strickland; 17 great-great grandchildren; a niece, Pauline Fulk; and a great nephew, June Jessup and wife Peggy. She was predeceased by a daughter, Colene Frances Fulk; two grandchildren, Deborah Kay Smith and Janet Mary Strickland; and eleven brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Pavilion at Cannon Memorial Park in Fountain Inn.
