Margaret Morrow Duncan
Margaret Morrow Duncan joined her late husband, Ansel Forrest Duncan in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday March 14, 2013.
Mrs. Duncan was born in Greenville SC March 1, 1930 to the late Thomas Pearson and Josie Capps Morrow. She was married for 60 years. She was a lifelong homemaker and mother of five children, who she viewed as her greatest legacy, and grandmother of nine, who gave her the greatest joy in life. Mrs. Duncan was a member of Roper Mountain Baptist Church, where she served in various capacities including WMU Director, Sunday School Teacher, GA Director and Choir member for some 60 years, until her health no longer permitted her to attend. Most importantly, God was truly the Lord of her life and all that she did. She knew exactly where she was going upon her death and looked forward to being in God's presence with her devoted husband Ansel.
Mrs. Duncan's surviving children are Dr. Mike Duncan and his wife Debbie of Athens, GA; Polly Gantt and her husband Greg of Little River, SC; Pat Duncan and his wife Beverly of Greenville, SC; Bobby Duncan and his wife Annette of Greenville, SC; and Tommy Duncan and his wife Ruth of Greenville, SC. Her grandchildren are Katherine Bright and her husband Jeremy, Stephen Duncan and his wife Kristen, Allison Duncan, Patrick Duncan, Jr. Emily Duncan, Alex Duncan, Mary Agnes Duncan, Abbigail Duncan, and Isabelle Duncan. She leaves behind her sister Polly Johnson of Albany, NY. She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Lydia Gabrielle Duncan, and three brothers, Burnell Morrow, Maurice Morrow, and Reverend Calvin Morrow.
The funeral service will be held at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church on Sunday March 17, 2013 at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Clyborne officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 1:30 -2:45 in the Orders Parlor. A private burial will follow the service at Roper Mountain Baptist Church for the family.
