Marilyn Lynnette Bolt Hazel, 82, wife of Charles Franklin Hazel for 61 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 5, 2012.
Mrs. Hazel was born January 1, 1930 in Laurens, to the late Furman Alvin Bolt and Lila Louise Brownlee Bolt. She retired from Bi-Lo. She was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church where she attended the Jewell Johnson Sunday School Class.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Tony Hazel and wife d'Rue; two daughters, Kathy Tate and husband Mike, and Donna Hazel; two brothers, James Bolt, and Johnnie Bolt and wife Lib; a sister, Betty Ann Spires and husband Bennie; five grandchildren, Jeremy Tate and wife Jenny, Ashley Young and husband Seth, Mari Hazel, Sarah Hazel, and Katie Hazel; two great-grandchildren, Grant and Lydia Young; and three adopted brothers and sisters, James Adams, Joan Smith, and Elane Finley. She was predeceased by two brothers, Furman Bolt Jr. and Melvin Bolt; and three sisters, Kathryn Bolt, Ozzie Mae Nelson, and Dib Lyons.
Visitation will be 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mauldin First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Wade Leonard. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
