Marilyn C. Taylor, 61, wife of Gary Taylor, passed away on November 23, 2012.

Beloved by her family and friends, Marilyn was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a member of the Haddon Friendship Sunday School Class and Mac Vinson Companion Class. Her determination to live as a servant of God was evidenced by her 24 years of compassion and devotion through Prison Ministry at Perry Correctional Institution and as the Greenville County Angel Tree coordinator. She initially retired from the Greenville County School System as a school teacher and later returned to assist with teaching children with Autistic. Born in Greenville, SC on February 21, 1951, she was the daughter of Charles and Martha Curtis. Marilyn attended Wade Hampton High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Education from Winthrop College and earned a Master's degree in Education at Clemson University.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Gary Taylor, daughter Holly Taylor; mother Martha Curtis; two brothers: Charles Curtis, Jr. his children Ian and Scott Curtis; Alan Curtis his wife Nancy Curtis, and children Lindsay and Rebecca Curtis. She was predeceased by her father Charles Curtis.

The family will receive friends, November 27, 2012 from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7 Shannon Drive, Greenville, SC 29615 with Funeral service to follow at 2:00pm and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
