Michael Parham, 62, of Six Mile, SC passed into God's grace in peace September 13th, 2012.

Born David Michael Parham on August 8th, 1950, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Betty Hope Parham and the late Herbert Lee Parham Sr. He married his loving wife, Judy Hightower in 1971.

Mr. Parham graduated Clemson University in 1972, and South Carolina School of Law in 1975. He was a member of the society of Whig and Robe, and the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Law.

He began practicing law as a plaintiff's attorney for Abrams, Bowen, Robertson and Tapp Law Firm in 1975, later becoming a founding partner of Parham and Smith Law Firm.

He was a member of the American Bar Association, South Carolina's Trial Lawyers Association, The Inner Circle of Advocates, and the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline.

Generous, kind and loving, he left his mark on many lives, helping give a voice to those who could not speak for themselves.

He is survived by his wife Judy Parham; mother Betty Hope Parham of Greenville, SC; brother Herbert Lee Parham Jr. of Norris, SC; daughters Jennifer Campbell (Rame) of Anderson, SC, Autumn Parham of Charleston, SC; and beloved grandchild Lily Campbell of Anderson, SC. He will also be missed by Tulip, Little Bud, Amos and granddog Arbor.

Above all family was his life's work. A loving husband, steadfast father and devoted son, he truly practiced unconditional love and understanding towards all. He was a self-proclaimed "Yellow Dog Democrat" and a fiercely loyal Clemson Tiger.

A visitation will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, in Greenville on Monday Sept. 17th from 11:30am - 12:45pm. A service will directly follow the visitation at St. Peter's Episcopal Church beginning at 1:00pm. The burial will be held following the service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Pendleton, SC
