Mildred Sullivan Langston


Mildred Sullivan Langston, widow of Leroy Langston, died Monday, January 7, 2013.

Born in Walhalla, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Bonnie Collins Sullivan.

Mrs. Langston was retired as owner/operator of Mildred Ann's Beauty Salon and was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church. She attended the Tamassee DAR School.

Surviving are a stepson, Leroy Langston, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Gibson and Bonnie Nichols, both of Walhalla and Bernice Bond, of Westminster; two brothers, Alvin Sullivan and Leroy Sullivan, Jr., both of Walhalla; a special niece, Amanda Stokes; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved Yorkie, Millie.

She was preceded in death by sisters Elsie Ward, Annette Sullivan and Pauline Sullivan; and brother, W.R. Sullivan.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tamassee DAR School, P O Box 8, Tamassee, SC 29686.
