Pearle Louise Lockaby Stone, wife of the late Harrison T. Stone, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2013 in Union City GA. She was 102.

She was born in Anderson County on March 8, 1910 to Cora Estelle Prince and William Jasper Lockaby.

Pearle was a former member of Leawood Baptist Church in Greenville. She was a world traveler, a passionate bridge player and she rolled her last bowling ball game at the age of 96. She was the oldest attending member of her First Baptist of Fairburn, GA.

Her working years were spent mostly at Meyers Arnold in Greenville.

Pearle is survived by her daughter, Gail Stone Kirby; a brother Rev. Bill Lockaby; two sisters, Mary Alice Cooley and Sue Frances Shaw; two granddaughters, Robin Whitlock Ballou and Lisa Wrenn Jentzen; four great grandsons, Josheph, Patrick and Andrew Whitlock and Elijah Stone Jentzen; two great-great grandchildren; and 25 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Pauline Stephens, Edith Wofford, and Margaret White; and four brothers, Fred, Heywood, George and Cecil Lockaby.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in the Remembrance Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr, Greenville, SC 29609.

Her daughter requests that we honor her mother by praying for God's peace on our Nation.
