Robert Hugh Golightly, 94, of Greenville, husband of the late Madeline (Waters) Golightly, died Friday, February 1, 2013.

Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Charlie V. and Edith (Sentell) Golightly.

Mr. Golightly served in the U.S. Army. He later retired from American Spinning as a supervisor in textiles after working there for 40 years. He was a member of Greenville First Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Pat Norris (Jerry), of Greenville; a son, Johnny Vernon Golightly (Gloria), of Greenville; four grandchildren, Randall Norris (Sherry), Jeff Golightly, Susan Urrego, and Tracy Garcia (Jose); and four great grandchildren, Lindsay Lauren, Jonathan Norris, Brandon Urrego, and Katie Garcia.

In addition to his wife of 66 years, Mr. Golightly is preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Ann Golightly.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will follow on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Thomas McAfee Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice or Greenville First Wesleyan Church. The family would like to thank Open Arms Hospice for their care.
