Rosalie McClure Iler, wife of J. Edward Iler of Rolling Green Village, went to join Jesus, her Lord and Savior on May 5, 2013. Born in St. George, SC, Rosalie was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Mattie George McClure. Mrs. Iler moved to Greenville in 1950. She and Ed joined the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for nineteen years when the Church was located on W. McBee Ave. After relocating their home to the east side of Greenville, she and Ed joined the Edwards Road Baptist Church.

She was active in community work: serving Meals on Wheels and helping distribute food to the needy at the Crisis Center, in addition to membership in several garden clubs.

In addition to her husband of 70 years, Mrs. Iler is survived by one daughter, Patricia and her husband, Leslie Krzak of Roswell, GA; and two sisters, Mrs. Gene Dunlap of Sumter, SC and Mrs. John Mullen of Bluffton, SC.

Services will be held 12 Noon Wednesday in The Mackey Mortuary Chapel officiated by Rev. Aaron Rayburn. Visitation will be 11 - 11:45 am. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Edwards Road Baptist Church, 1050 Edwards Road, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family expresses deep appreciation to the following nurses at St. Francis Hospital for their loving care and support: Jennifer Herring, Laura Sullivan and John Christ.
