Sarah Evelyn Cole Fulbright, 91, died peacefully at her home Dec 31, 2012, at 12:30 pm.

Born July 10, 1921, in McCormick, SC, to Creighton and Mamie Cole, the 9th of 10 children, she moved as a child with her family to Greenville and grew up in the Judson community. She graduated Parker High School, Class of 1939. From a young age she enjoyed sewing clothes for herself, her family and others and was a fine seamstress.

Smart and fun-spirited, she delighted in preparing holiday and other dinners for her family and friends and was known as an excellent cook. But her greatest love and devotion were to her family and home, and to Welcome Baptist Church where she was a longtime active member.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Henry Doyle Fulbright; 5 children: Wilburn Fulbright (Susie), Shirley Fulbright Lambe (Ron), Carol Fulbright Hughes (Gene), Tommy Fulbright (Angela), and Jimmy Fulbright (Pam); 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a beloved younger sister Velma Cole Herd, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Welcome Baptist Church. The family will receive friends there beginning at 1:00 pm.
