Sidney Ann Hickman Gore, 79, wife of Dr. James Russell Gore, of Easley passed away on March 3, 2013.

Born on January 1, 1934 in Mullins, SC, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Davis Hickman and Mitchelle Bellamy Hickman.

Mrs. Gore was a homemaker. She was a charter member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church where she served as Choir Director, Bible School Director, Sunday School Teacher as well as a Former Member of Dacusville United Methodist Church, where she served as Choir Director, Children's Choir Director, Bible School Leader, and Sunday School Leader. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels as a Volunteer Coordinator in Pickens County, as well as a Board Member. She also volunteered with Hospice, Girl Scouts, and the Shriner's Hospital. She was a member of the S.C. Walking Horse Association Ladies Auxilliary.

Sidney was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband as well as by three daughters, Doty Looper (Keith), Dr. Julie Fowler (Jimmy), Missy Merritt; six grandchildren, Kip Looper (Stephanie), Lindsey Looper, Trey Fowler, Sidney Ann Fowler, Matt Merritt, and Meredith Merritt; one great grandchild, Reagan Dickson; one sister, Hannah Hickman Hardee of Loris, SC.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, James Russell Gore, Jr.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680, or Interim Hospice, 16 Hyland Rd, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family will be at the residence.
