Vivian Young McElmoyle, 101, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at The Cottages of Brushy Creek, Greer, SC.

Mrs. McElmoyle was the widow of Thomas L. McElmoyle and the mother of Richard D. McElmoyle (Nell) and Cynthia McElmoyle Kellar (Henry), both of Greer, and Thomas L. McElmoyle Jr. (Gail) of Fort Mill, SC. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was born June 16, 1912, in Hazelton, PA. She received her RN degree from Palmerton, Pa., Hospital, where she worked as a nurse before her marriage. Mr. and Mrs. McElmoyle raised their family in Wilmington, DE. They moved to Greenville in 1987 and lived in Rolling Green Village.

Memorial services for Mrs. McElmoyle will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 1021 Hudson Rd., Greenville, 29615.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Giles.
