William "Billy" Toy Bishop
William "Billy" Toy Bishop, 63, of Greenville, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
Born in Marietta, he was a son of the late Toy Bishop and Martha Moody Finley.
Mr. Bishop was the former Chief of Police for the City of Mauldin and a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Billy was a very loving and giving man with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed remote car racing, guitars, country music, collecting guns and knives and NASCAR. One of his greatest joys in life was watching Gamecock football and eating pizza and wings with his family on Saturdays.
He is survived by fiancée, Lynn Radloff; daughter, Devin Raxter (Curtis); son, Travis Walker, PV2 (Heather); grandchildren, Shelby, Ethan, and Hailey; stepfather, Jimmy Finley; sister, Vickie Finley; brothers, Rocky Bishop (Peggy) and Ronnie Bishop (Betty); daughter-in-law, Holly Bishop; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Bradley Toy Bishop; sisters, Diane Bishop and Sheila Vaughn; and two special nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.
