William Jennings Craine Sr.
Laurens
William Jennings Craine, Sr., 88 of Laurens, husband of Betty Sanders Craine, passed away January 14, 2014.
Born in Laurens County, he was the son of the late George D and Inez Eubanks Craine. A United States Marine Veteran, he was the owner of Craine Auto Sales in Laurens. A lifelong member of St. James United Methodist Church, he was a member of the Palmetto Masonic Lodge and the Hejaz Shrine Temple, an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his sons, William Jennings Craine, Jr. and wife Patty of Laurens, Mark Thomas Craine and wife Ann of Spartanburg, and William Eric Craine and wife Casie of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; grandchildren, Amanda Kay Craine (Craig Allison), Tara Craine Sammons (Randall), William Power Craine (Shelba Williams), Ellison Reid Craine, Olivia Ruth Craine, Kristin Craine (Michael Dutton) and Kylie Craine (Ed Logan); great-grandchildren, Morgan Elizabeth Brown, Richard Jacob Brown, Jr, Rebecca Alexis Sammons, Samuel Thomas Craine, Randall James Sammons, Jr, Paul Dutton, Liam Dutton, and CJ Williams; a sister, Edna Craine Burts; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: a son, Kevin Sanders Craine; brothers, David, Paul and Bryan Craine; and sister, Cora Lee Riddle.
Graveside services will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 2:00 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlie Short.
The Family will visit with friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 101 Richards St. Laurens, SC 29360.

Daddy and I are thinking of you all and keeping you in our prayers! I wish I could've made it home but I know Daddy and Aunt Bettie went by the mortuary during the day. He will be missed by so many people! Hugs and love to you all.....especially to your Mom!!
