Jerry Tanner Obituary
Easley
Funeral services to honor Mr. Tanner's life will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the mortuary.
Jerry W. Tanner, 66, of 404 Lena Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mecklenburg County, NC he was a son of the late Carl DeWitt and Ruth House Tanner. He retired from Clarkson Industrial Contractors and was a Charter member of Unity Baptist Church in Greenville. He was a member of Bates Masonic Lodge # 189 AFM and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Glosson Tanner of the home; two daughters and sons in law, Kim and Butch Chambers of Liberty, and Kristie and Kevin Zahm of Easley; four grandchildren, Morgan and Tanner Chambers, and Kamryn and Keenan Zahm.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Martin, and a brother, Jimmy Tanner.

Jerry Tanner Was More than a Brother I law To Me . He Was my friend, a person that I confided in when I need a shoulder to lean on. Jerry tanner was a very special person, He Always Listened When Spoken To, He Ascertained To What Was Being Said To Him, Reference the situation at hand.
