Michael Allen Dean

Greenville

Michael Allen Dean, 62, of Greenville, husband of Becky Garren Dean, went to be with his Lord Sunday, October 4, 2015.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of Donald Emory and Betty Jean Mauldin Dean.

Mike was a 1971 graduate of Parker High School and a 1975 graduate of The Citadel. He was a member of Reedy River Baptist Church and Taylors First Baptist Church. He was a Senior Vice President of Grand South Bank. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, and loved serving others on international mission trips. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and faithful friend, who "Lived his life for an audience of One."

Surviving, in addition to his parents and loving wife of 27 years, are a daughter, Haley Dean; a son, Michael Dean, Jr.; and two brothers, Donald "Butch" Dean (Lucy), and Reverend Scott Dean (Scottie).

The visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A private burial will be held at Reedy River Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Berea First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to The IMB (International Mission Board) Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, 3806 Monument Avenue, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.

Remembering Mike as a cut up in class at PHS . Glad he made it through the Citadel :-)
I saw him in passing at the bank and was always as friendly as ever. I pray for his family in this most trying of times.
He was a good man , and a wonderful friend.
