Dorothy Catron, age 88, beloved wife of Robert Catron for 55 years, peacefully crossed over to heaven on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Robert was faithful to be by her side every day to comfort and take care of her. Born in Greenville, S.C., Dorothy was a daughter of the late William W. Marchbanks and Mabel White Marchbanks. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Thomas Roberts and one daughter Gloria Hyde. In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by two sons: James Hyde and Wade Roberts; daughter: Cheryl Roberts, sixteen grandchildren, and thirty two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Catron was a faithful member at Reedy River Baptist Church, as well the church choir. She enjoyed spending most of time with the love of her life, Robert. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Reedy River Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Reedy River Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reedy River Baptist Church Capital Campaign, 871 By Pass 25 North, Greenville, SC 29617.
