Travelers Rest

Gladys J. Tate, 93, widow of Paul Preston Tate, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Greer Memorial Hospital. Born in Rosman, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Gencie Hall Johnson. Mrs. Tate retired as a nurse from Travelers Rest Family practice after 34 years of service, and was a member of Enoree Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Deborah T. Fuller; two sons, Cecil Leroy Williams (Jean), and Robert M. Tate, Sr. (Sammie); seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was predeceased by three sisters. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Graveside services will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at Enoree Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a children's charity of your choice. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.thehowzemortuary.com. So sorry to for your lost and to the many people she helped. Mrs Tate was my nurse growing up and I loved her .She ws so kind and sweet.God has a wonderful Angel in Heaven now.
