Colleen Katherine Tate

Greenville

Colleen Katherine Tate, 82, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Pardee Hospital.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Cleophus C. Tate and Edna Edwards Tate Pinson.

Mrs. Tate was retired from Greenville Memorial Hospital and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. She played for the Carolina Wrenn Softball team in Charleston, SC for many years.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Tate Sulkosky and Tony Cross both of Greenville; a sister, Eloise T. Cronk of Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Harlin and Plato Tate.

Visitation will be held Saturday April 9, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at the residence.
