Kathleen Griffeth Obituary
Travelers Rest
Kathleen Jamison Griffeth, 81, of Travelers Rest, wife of Charles "Ran" Griffeth, took her place in Heaven on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Born in Travelers Rest, she was a daughter of the late David and Jesse Pace Burns.
Mrs. Griffeth was retired from Furman University. She was a member of Reedy River Baptist Church and former member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three children, Tena Andrews and husband, Michael, of Easley, J. Todd Jamison of Greenville and Sharon Johnson and husband, Thad, of Douglasville, GA; six grandchildren, John Underwood and wife, Olivia, Jerome Underwood and wife, Shannon, Alan Charles Andrews, Melanie Kathleen Andrews, Dawn Bennett and husband, Brian and Shannon Watson and husband, Mike; nine great grandchildren, Jamison Ronald Underwood, Ashley and Austin Watson, Josiah, Autumn and Elijah Bennett, Justin, Austin and Devin Watkins; three sisters, Nan Williams, Betty Jo Rice (Earl), Grace McManus (William); a special sister, Betty Whitaker; and two brothers, Roy Burns (Sandra) and Paul Burns (Nancy).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerome Jamison; a son, Stephen Griffeth; brothers, Charles, Robert and Larry Burns; and brother-in-law, Cecil Williams.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Reedy River Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Capital Campaign Fund of Reedy River Baptist Church, 871 Bypass Highway 25 N, Greenville, SC 29617.

I miss you grandma so much but I know that you are in heaven dancing with Jesus you were an angel here on earth and you are one in Heaven . I cant believe it has been 8 years with out you soon it will be 9. I definitely can say I had one of the best grandmas in the world. I love you so much.

Kat was a wonderful, beautiful lady whom our family loved and admired. Her smile radiated Christian love and was freely bestowed on all. She will be missed, so very missed.
