Mrs. Looper was my third grade teacher at Stone Elementary/Academy. She was an educator who made sure all her students soared. Because of her and Mrs. Smith, I became an educator. My fondest memory is when she and Mr. Looper married when I was in her class. That was a special time for all of us. My parents are having a joyous reunion with you in heaven.

Many fond memories of afternoon visits, chocolates from the legendary candy dish, listening to stories about your teaching days and mischievous pupils, playing the piano for you, measuring ourselves, then eventually your great-grandchildren to see if we had surpassed your height yet, talking about "Cold Sassy Tree" and the history of Pumpkintown. . . all these and more will be treasured memories of all the wonderful moments that embody the wonderful life of Laura Edna Looper! With Love, Scott, Della, Augusta, and Adele Enns

So sorry to learn about "Miss" Edna's passing. We though of her often and enjoyed our visits at Homewood. She was a dear cousin and friend to my mother, Edythe Hinton.
